While I was on holiday I had the priveledge of studying lap steel with Cindy Cashdollar. Cindy is best known for her work as a member of Asleep at the Wheel and on the Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keeler on NPR.

I am going to be adding her own link to this website. Just go to www.cindycashdollar.com.

I will also be adding some photos of she and I playing together at the Fur Peace Ranch.

We (her students) got a crash course in the RIGHT way to play the lap steel (as opposed to my previous way that I taught myself). She is world class - it was like getting lessons in how to do lay ups from Michael Jordan.

Both of her videos on Homespun tapes cover most of what she taught us - but we all got the benefit of her one on one approach.

What a wonderful lady too! She is a consumate professional - totally dedicated to excellence on her instrument. Listening to her do a show with Byron House (bass) and Jorma Kaukonen was such a treat. It doesn't get any better than that!
